AUS Hockey at Miners Forum

Don't forget to get your tickets for the 2 AUS Women's Hockey Games next weekend.

 

Tickets will be available at the GBMH Office, Monday - Thursday from 9-12 & 1-4! 

 

Tickets will also be available during the 1st GBMH 50/50 draw this Sunday, September 17th from 12-3pm!!

 

Tickets are $5 each.

RIP Blair “Bearcat” Joseph

Glace Bay Minor Hockey is saddened to learn of the passing of local hockey icon, Blair Joseph.

Blair and the Joseph family have had a significant influence on the local, national and international hockey scene for decades.

He was a great player and coach, an all-round nice guy possessing a terrific sense of humor and was always there for speaking engagements and community functions.

He will be missed.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Joseph family and many friends. Rest In Peace Bearcat.

· Jaycee Tracey Memorial ‘Rising Star‘ Award is presented to a new-to-the-game player who tries hard, has fun and just loves being around his or her friends. The recipient of the Jaycee Tracy Memorial ‘Rising Star’ award for the 2022 - 2023 season is Avery Pynn.
· Kellen Surette Memorial ‘Why fit in, when you were born to stand out’ Award is for a player who shows not only a love for the game, but kindness and friendship. The recipient of the Kellen Surette “Why fit in, when you were born to stand out” award for the 2022-2023 season is Ben MacKinnon (U9).
· Robert MacIsaac Memorial Award (U11) is presented to the player who exhibits dedication, respect, and all-round love for the game. The recipient of the Robert MacIsaac award for the 2022-2023 season is Taylor Walker (U11A).
· Margie O’Neill Memorial Award (U13) is presented to the player who exhibits dedication, respect, and all-round love for the game. The recipient of the Margie O’Neill Award for the 2022-2023 season is Travis Smith-MacNeil (U13A).
· Ricky Wrathall Memorial Award (U15) is presented to the player who exhibits dedication, respect, and all-round love for the game. The recipient of the Ricky Wrathall award for the 2022-2023 season is Steve Mann (15AA).
· Shelly Syms Memorial ‘Fair Play’ Award (U18) is an award that can be presented to either a player or an entire team. The award exemplifies total respect for the game. The criteria may include dedication to the sport, team spirit, attendance, respect for teammates, opponents, officials and overall love for the game. The recipient of the Shelly Syms Fair Play Award for the 2022-2023 season is Aidan Campbell (U18AA).
