The U15-AA Miners defeated the Halifax Hawks 6-2 in the championship game to win the Ozzie Fraser Memorial Tournament at the County Arena on Sunday. 

Kolby Kaiser opened the scoring for the Miners, who led 1-0 after the first period. 

Jonah Surette would score twice in the second period, Drew McPhee added a single, and the Miners would take a 4-2 lead into the dressing room after 40 minutes of play. 

Jack Pitcher and Chad Edwards rounded out the scoring for the Miners in the third period. 

Congratulations to the U15AA Glace Bay Miners on bringing home the banner today!

The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) is coming to Halifax!

The Scotiabank Centre will host two Takeover Tour matchups this season featuring some of the league's top talent.

First up, Kori Cheverie's Victoire de Montréal take on Troy Ryan's Blayre Turnbull-led Toronto Sceptres (with Yarmouth’s Allie Munroe on the blue line!) on Dec. 17!

Then on Jan. 11, Jill Saulnier's Boston Fleet clash with the Ottawa Charge!

Montréal vs. Toronto – December 17 at 7:30 p.m. AST
Ottawa vs. Boston – January 11 at 1:00 p.m. AST
